Loretta Tomasi has been Chief Executive of ENO since November 2005, having been Executive Director of ENO from May 2003.
As Chief Executive, Loretta has led the Company together with Artistic Director, John Berry, and more recently Music Director, Edward Gardner to its current strong position. During this time ENO has developed a reputation for bold, distinctive and award-winning work and increased its international partnerships, creating exposure for the Company’s work abroad.
Prior to joining ENO, Loretta was Managing Director and Finance Director of Really Useful Theatres (formerly Stoll Moss Theatres) for 12 years, which operated 13 theatres in London’s West End, including the London Palladium and Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. During the time in commercial theatre Loretta was involved in the sale of Stoll Moss Theatres to create Really Useful Theatres, the purchase of a ticketing business and several refinancing transactions.
Prior to joining Stoll Moss Theatres Loretta was Financial Controller of a listed financial services company, Tyndall Holdings plc. Loretta trained with Coopers & Lybrand and worked with that firm in Perth and Melbourne, Australia, and London for 8 years.
