ENO BAYLIS PRODUCER

 

English National Opera is an internationally recognised producer of award-winning opera which is created by imaginative artists from across the arts.  

 

ENO Baylis is ENO’s Learning and Participation team. Part of the Artistic department, it produces adventurous work inspired by the ENO artistic programme.  This includes pioneering interactive initiatives, new commissions, workshops and debates, and professional training strands giving a broad range of people access to ENO’s unique work and resources.

 

You will be responsible for the creative development and management of a wide range of projects for diverse groups. You should have proven experience of working in a busy artistic environment, preferably developing and managing participatory learning and training projects with a working knowledge and flair for creating interactive content.  We are looking for a team player and versatile communicator, who is committed to excellence and innovation.

LIGHTING TECHNICIANS

(FIXED TERM)

 

English National Opera is an internationally recognised producer of award-winning opera, and is acknowledged for bold and distinctive productions created by imaginative artists from across the arts.

 

We are looking for Lighting Technicians to join the busy Lighting department at ENO. Lighting Technicians ensure provision of high quality lighting services to ENO and to visiting companies during rehearsals and performances at the London Coliseum or any other venue where the Company may perform.

 

Successful applicants will need to be self-motivated team workers, who can demonstrate the ability to use a wide range of lighting equipment including generics and movers. Experience of working in an intensive repertory environment would be advantageous. Ideally candidates will have a good knowledge of the Strand 550 desk and C&G 2360/2330 training would be useful.

Interim Head of Technical

Fixed Term Contract

 

English National Opera is an internationally recognised producer of award-winning opera, and is acknowledged for bold and distinctive productions created by imaginative artists from across the arts.

 

We are seeking an Interim Head of Technical to take the post for an initial six month fixed term contract.  Reporting to the Technical Director and working closely with the Heads of Departments  you will be responsible for overseeing the effective day to day running and strategic planning of the Stage, Lighting, Sound and Transport Departments.

 

You should be able to demonstrate:

 

·               Proven experience gained in a similar or related role

·               Proven knowledge and experience of the technical requirements in a theatre environment

·               Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

·               Proven experience of setting, managing and controlling large budgets

·               Experience of scheduling staff and other resources

·               Computer literacy

·               Experience of managing staff  and a decisive yet approachable management style

·               The ability to prioritise competing demands

·               Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

A background in opera or repertory theatre is desirable.
