ENO MARKETING OFFICER
English National Opera is seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Officer to join their busy Marketing Department who are responsible for developing audiences and ticket sales for the UK’s largest opera programme.

The Marketing Officer will assist the Marketing Department in planning and implementing campaigns. Specific responsibilities will also include proofing ads and planning the distribution of print material including mailings, leaflets, posters and front-of-house marketing material. They will also be asked to play an active role in developing our online strategy and increasing membership of ENO’s popular under-30s scheme Access All Arias.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s marketing experience and be educated to degree-level or equivalent. They should also ideally be familiar with ticketing systems and CRM database management and have an interest and passion for bringing the arts, and specifically opera, to the widest possible audience. Salary: up to £22,000.

ENO DEVELOPMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Fixed term: one year contract

The Development Department has responsibility for revenue and capital fundraising for English National Opera from three key areas: Individuals, Trusts & Foundations and Corporations.
Reporting to Director of Development, the Administrative Officer will provide administrative support in the Operations area of the Department and help with the development/improvement of office systems and how the department works across the Company. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful development team.

The Development Department is based in the ENO offices near the London Coliseum on St Martin’s Lane, London. The required hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm with occasional evening work.

Key Accountabilities:

Development
The Administrative Officer is responsible for ensuring that office systems and operational matters of the Development Department are organised and implemented on time, on budget and with the highest professional standards.

He/she will coordinate Development-related projects and deadlines for events, publications, finance and other department-related operations across the season.

Finance
- Oversee Development income tracking and expense budgets
- Communicate regularly with Finance on: Development income, including: receipts, tracking and posting. Development costs, including: invoices, internal charges and coding

Administration
- Coordinate development recruitment procedures
- Track department holiday and sick time
- Process individual expenses
- Work with Office Coordinator to assure equipment and office supplies are maintained
- Assist with events budget
- Assist with mailings when necessary

Publications
- Liaise with Head of Publications on deadlines for programme content, including: donor lists, volunteer lists, programme letters, production support credits and general Development information
- Coordinate updating of donor lists for programmes, and website (seasonally) and foyer boards (annually)
- Draft programme letter for each new production


Marketing
- Circulate drafts of Marketing materials to appropriate members of the Development team for final approval of donor acknowledgements, including season guides and individual production collateral
- Communicate and manage Marketing deadlines with the Development team
- Coordinate mailing schedule around Marketing projects, i.e. season guide mailings
- Liaise with Webmaster on website crediting and scheme descriptions

Other
- Assist with the organisation and implementation of departmental projects and other duties consistent with the role as required.
- Work with external stakeholders, including: board members, donors and vendors, as appropriate.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications: • High standard of literacy and numeracy
Experience: • Recent administrative / office co-ordination experience
Key skills: • Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise without prompting
• Able to use spreadsheets and databases comprehensively and with high standard of accuracy
• Ability to work with a range of individuals and collaborate effectively across departments to achieve results
• Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge database preferred
Personal qualities: • Self-starter with positive attitude
• Helpful manner in responding to queries
• Understanding of boundaries of own knowledge and role, and when to refer to others
• Professional approach to work
