ENCORE – ENO’s Youth Summer School 26-30 July 2008 Do you enjoy performing? Want to work with professionals and learn new skills? ENCORE summer school English National Opera is delighted to announce its 2008 summer school – an exhilarating five days of intensive performance work in Westminster leading towards a live show. Working with professionals, participants will create their own performance of Music, Physical Theatre and Movement. After five days, experience the thrill of performing on stage to a live audience – will you get stage fright? Behind the scenes For those interested in working backstage additional places are available to people interested in working behind the scenes. They will have the opportunity to work with our designer, stage manager and lighting staff to make the performance happen. Who is it for? If you’re aged 12-16 and interested in performing arts then this course is for you! There is no audition, but you should have enthusiasm and some performing experience. Download more information and an application form here takepart! is ENO Baylis' music-theatre programme for 4 -18 year olds, run in collaboration with St Marylebone School, Westminster. takepart! offers young people the opportunity to develop skills in singing, drama, movement and physical theatre, in sessions led by ENO Baylis artists working alongside performing arts leaders. takepart! is divided into four age groups: takepart! SPARKLE: Age 4 – 7 takepart! FIZZ: Age 7 – 11 takepart! JUMP: Age 11 – 14 takepart! SHOUT: Age 14 - 18 Fees are payable termly in advance. Cost per session: Sparkle: £4.50 Fizz, Jump & Shout: £6 or £5 concession for residents and students from the London Borough of Westminster.
