ENO is one of the world’s leading co-producers, collaborating with over 20 opera houses and festivals worldwide.
Our longstanding artistic partnership with the Metropolitan Opera, New York, has created three hugely successful co-productions in recent years: Anthony Minghella’s production of Madam Butterfly, John Adams’s Doctor Atomic, directed by Penny Woolcock and Philip Glass’s Satyagraha directed by Improbable. Many future productions, including three new commissions are in development.
Le Grand Macabre which opened the 2009/10 Season was a four-way partnership with La Monnaie Brussels, Gran Teatro del Liceu Barcelona and Teatro dell’ Opera di Roma
Closer to home our ground breaking collaboration with the Young Vic in South London is now in its third year and was recognised with a South Bank Award for Opera in 2008.
