FUNDING

ENO is funded through the Arts Council England grant (2011/12: £17.078 million) and self-generated income through ticket sales, production and theatre rental, co-production contributions and the generous donations of individuals, companies and trusts.  In addition Westminster City Council provides support towards selected learning and participation projects

In the 2011/12 year for every pound of public subsidy, ENO raises an equivalent amount through these sources:

In creating a high number of new productions each year, ENO nurtures a wide range of creative talent and ideas and creates exciting work for UK and international audiences. The Company also provides more jobs and opportunities for British opera talent than any other opera employer and invests in the future of opera through a number of talent development programmes.
