The ENO House Composer programme is a professional development programme for aspiring opera composers.
The 2014/15 pilot programme supports four professional composers over a period of two years, encouraging individual enquiry and learning, with a unique opportunity to observe the workings of ENO from the inside.
The programme is specifically designed to respond to the needs and interests of each composer, facilitating access to the company’s resources and providing the opportunity for each composer to develop their operatic ideas and present new small scale work.
Developed by the ENO Artistic team, the programme reflects the company’s commitment to make visible the process of creating opera, nurture British talent and explore new forms for opera.
ENO House Composers are very generously supported by Idlewild Trust, Fenton Arts Trust, The Leche Tust and the Lord & Lady Lurgan Trust.
