The American Friends of ENO is a 501 (C) 3 registered charity with publicly supported organisation status that was established to give ENO’s American Supporters the opportunity to support ENO through tax-favourable giving. ENO has enjoyed a close affiliation with the United States since the Company’s highly-acclaimed 1984 tour. American singers, directors and conductors continue to play a creative and collaborative role in many of ENO’s productions. Our American Friends enjoy all the benefits of our Friends membership, with additional privileges and events that are exclusive to the American Friends. Additionally, the American Bar was inaugurated at ENO in spring 2005, recognizing the contributions of several generous American supporters.

American Friends are able to support us with gifts ranging from £175 to £5,000+ with a full range of associated levels and benefits.

For more information, please contact Denise Kaplan, American Friends Coordinator, at Americanfriends@eno.org or call 0207 845 9331.

How Your Money Helps

Even with healthy ticket sales, the expense of running a full-time repertory opera company cannot be covered by ticket sales and public funding alone. Learn more about how your donations help us to cover the cost of producing opera.

Opera is an expensive business. Arts Council support accounts for half of our funding. Every £1 from public sources is matched by income generated by ENO.
