20/20: A Vision for Creative Ventures

ENO is creating a group of ‘adventure capitalists’ who wish to engage in the development of new initiatives for ENO. As seed-funders of new projects, they hear about plans first, and enable the Company to develop these ideas to the next stage. They will become ambassadors for these new projects and help to secure additional contributions to make it happen.

Criteria for membership:

1. A desire to engage in the constantly developing opportunities for new adventures in opera.
   
2. Commitment to contribute to the group’s discussions online and in person.
   
3. A minimum annual gift of £20,000 (plus gift aid) and a three year commitment.

Meetings:
The group will meet twice each year with ENO’s Artistic Director and Chief Executive and / or the new Music Director, to hear about current ideas and discuss the initiatives for seed funding from the 20/20 Group’s contributions.

Projects:
Projects may include, but will not be limited to, new commissions, off-site initiatives (such as Glastonbury and Trafalgar Square), artistic collaborations with other organisations and international projects and tours. It is important to note that not all projects may come to fruition, but that 20/20 will be providing critical development money in order to explore new initiatives.

Acknowledgement:
The 20/20 Group will be acknowledged in print for all projects supported by the Group. The names of the members will be listed in all programmes.

Participation:
The group will have a maximum of 20 people making an annual contribution of £20,000 for a minimum of three years.
