Founding Patrons Vernon & Hazel Ellis The Foyle Foundation Young Singers Programme at ENO English National Opera is renowned for discovering and nurturing talented young singers. The programme gives young singers at an early stage in their careers the opportunity to be part of a major opera company whilst continuing their training. The Young Singers Programme provides the stability to acclimatise to the profession within the supportive environment of the Coliseum. As a full time repertory company, ENO is able to offer the unique operatic resources to six singers each season. The company trains our singers in every aspect of being a professional opera singer whilst giving them the opportunity to perform in the largest auditorium in London. The programme provides extensive vocal, dramatic and language coaching, as well as masterclasses from celebrated artists such as Joan Rodgers, Fiona Shaw, Gerald Finley, Thomas Hampson and Anthony Michaels-Moore. The annual cost for fully training each singer is £30,000. We are seeking enlightened individuals who would like to invest in and support the future of British opera with gifts of £1,000 and above. By giving to the programme and supporting our young singers, you will enjoy a position of partnership with ENO and the development of new talent, helping to further the careers of some of the country’s most promising singers.
