Nurture new talent

Help us provide training for the opera stars of tomorrow.

We are the largest employer of British opera talent in the UK.  Your support will enable us nurture new talent with unique opportunities to discover, develop and share their talent on ENO’s stage and beyond.

Our seven training programmes make a vital contribution to the next generation of opera talent in the UK and around the world.

However, we rely on the support of forward thinking philanthropists to continue to develop new talent in this way.

ENO Harewood Artists

Harewood Artists is our flagship programme for 13 singers who have the potential to perform at the highest level on the international stage.  Each season, around twelve artists receive training and mentoring from the artistic leadership team at ENO, allowing them to flourish as artists whilst taking on significant roles in ENO productions, many of which are principle leads.

ENO Opera Works

Opera Works offers in-depth training for 20 aspiring professional singers from a wide variety of backgrounds.  Past participants now perform with companies such as ENO, Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera and Scottish Opera.

ENO Junior Singers

Junior Singers provides approximately 90 young people with the skills, training and pastoral care required for them to perform in our productions.

ENO Trainee Repetiteurs

Our trainee repetiteurs programme gives two exceptionally talented young pianists paid work experience as trainees with the opportunity to coach singers and lead music rehearsals whilst being mentored.

ENO Evolve

ENO Evolve gives 15 young orchestral musicians currently studying at music conservatoires the opportunity to experience working with an opera company for two productions conducted our Music Director.

ENO Chorus Mentoring

ENO Chorus Mentoring offers selected MMus students at Trinity Laban Conservatoire to experience the working life of an individual within the chorus and cultivating an appreciation of the expectations and demands of the profession.

ENO Mackerras Fellowship

Our Mackerras Fellowship provides an exceptional young conductor the opportunity to shadow and work alongside our Music Director.
