English National Opera (ENO) is deeply saddened to learn of the death of soprano Rainelle Krause, a much-admired artist and a memorable presence on ENO’s stage.
Rainelle dazzled in her performances as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at ENO in 2024. Her sense of humour and comic timing were especially evident in her appearance in the Horrible Histories Prom with the Orchestra of ENO and Chorus of ENO in 2023. A gifted and versatile performer, Rainelle brought a commanding stage presence that left a lasting impression on audiences.
At ENO, we will remember her not only for the quality of her performances, but also for her generosity of spirit. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
