ENO is funded through our Arts Council England grant and through self-generated income through ticket sales, production and theatre rental, co-production contributions and the generous donations of individuals, companies and trusts.

Our public subsidy supports not only our performances on stage but also our position as the largest employer and training ground for British operatic talent in the world.

We are also responsible for the management of the London Coliseum, which is an important venue for performances from other publicly subsidised arts organisations.

Although live performance at the London Coliseum is at the very heart of what we do, our reach extends well beyond this both in the UK and internationally.
