Are you a Finance Professional looking to bring your skills to a creative organisation?
The English National Opera make world-class, inspiring, and accessible opera available to everyone, and we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will hold responsibility for capital expenditure, assist with month end processes, work with external tax advisors, and work closely with the Director of Finance to improve the control environment in the organisation. This role will play a crucial part in helping the ENO achieve its organisational goals, and with one being to create a base outside London by 2026, it’s an exciting time to join us.
The ideal candidate will be part qualified, or a qualified-by-experience Finance Professional, with experience of different accounting cycles. You will have the ability to communicate complex financial ideas to non-finance staff, and a methodical approach to problem solving. If you’re also a whizz with an Excel spreadsheet, we would love to hear from you.
Further details can be found in our Recruitment Pack.
To apply, please send your CV and a Covering Letter to [email protected] by 12:00 noon, Monday 7th August 2023.

This appointment will be made on merit, but we believe that diversity strengthens and enriches us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at ENO to make the arts and cultural sector a more diverse and equal place.
As ethnically diverse and disabled people are currently under-represented at ENO, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from under-represented people.
