Anna Huntley

Mezzo-soprano

Anna Huntley studied at the RAM and the RCM International Opera School. Awards during her studies included third prize at the Das Lied Competition in Berlin and the Wigmore Hall/Independent Opera Vocal Fellowship at the Wigmore Hall/Kohn Foundation International Song Competition.

Over the last year she covered Dorabella, Pauline Queen of Spades and in The Way Back Home at ENO. An outstanding lieder singer, recent highlights include recitals with James Baillieu at Brighton Festival and Perth Concert Hall (broadcast by Radio 3), and with Graham Johnson at the Oxford and Leeds Lieder Festivals.

In 2012 she was selected by YCAT.

Forthcoming:

Recitals at the Konzerthaus in Vienna and Wigmore Hall; Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde (City of London Sinfonia); Haydn’s Harmoniemesse (Oxford Philharmonic, conducted by Andras Schiff).
