Barry Drummond

Dancer

Originally from Scotland, Barry began dancing in his hometown of Callander before moving to London at 16 to train at The Royal Ballet Upper School.

He joined English National Ballet in 2010, was promoted to First Artist in 2015 and left the company in 2020.

He has danced works by many notable choreographers including John Neumeier, Akram Khan, Russell Maliphant and Pina Bausch and has danced soloist and principal roles in ballets by Sir Kenneth McMillan, Aszure Barton, Itzik Galilli, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Christopher Wheeldon and William Forsythe.

Barry danced the Golden Cavalier in Jenna Lee’s production of ‘The Nutcracker Reimagined’ at the Liverpool Philharmonic and King Duncan in ‘Lady Macbeth’ by Christopher Marney at the New National Theatre, Tokyo.

Most recently, Barry played Jack Frost/ Cowboy in The Snowman (Peacock Theatre and Birmingham Rep)
