2020, though due to the Covid lockdowns I had to wait until the middle of 2021 to actually play an opera.

Tosca

Best ENO moment?
When a hastily arranged Wotan substitute resulted in a bilingual performance of Valkyries, as he only knew the part in German. Everyone was on tenterhooks but really rose to the occasion.

How did you start?
I asked for a violin for my 3rd birthday so that I could play like my Dad did.

Passion outside of opera?
Cycling and steam trains.
