George Humphreys


George Humphreys was born in Oxford, studied at Wellington College and at St John’s College, Cambridge, and then attended the RAM. He is a graduate of the International Opera Studio at the Zurich Opera House.

Previously for ENO: Moralès, Schaunard, Jake Wallace Girl of the Golden West, Marullo, Curio Julius Caesar.

Career Highlights

Notable engagements elsewhere: Aeneas Dido and Aeneas (Opéra Dijon); Starveling A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rome Opera); Duke in Sciarrino’s The Killing Flower (Music Theatre Wales); covering Tarquinius The Rape of Lucretia (Glyndebourne); soloist in concerts with Orchestra and Chorus of ROH, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Bochum Symphony, Händel Festival Göttingen, Royal Northern Sinfonia, RSNO, Aurora Orchestra, London Handel Festival and at Bridgewater Hall Manchester.
