Lukhanyo Moyake made his ENO debut with Daniel Kramer’s production of La traviata.

Career Highlights

In the 2017/18 Season this South African tenor sings Steuermann in a new production of Der fliegende Holländer (Cape Town Opera) and performs in the Mandela Trilogy in Dubai and Hong Kong. As soloist he can be heard with the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra in Bernstein’s A White House Cantata. In the 2018/19 Season he will join the ensemble of Wiener Staatsoper. He was an ensemble member of Cape Town Opera until 2017, where he performed numerous leading roles including Alfredo, Jaquino Fidelio, Belmonte Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Leicester Maria Stuarda, Camille de Rosillon The Merry Widow, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi, Tom Rakewell The Rake’s Progress, Duke of Mantua Rigoletto and Narraboth Salome. Further engagements include Don José Carmen (Teatro Nacional de São Carlos) and Sportin’ Life Porgy and Bess (Buenos Aires, Madrid and Barcelona). He also appeared in a Gala concert with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern.
