Known for her absolute precision and fiery coloratura, soprano Rainelle Krause is a versatile and compelling singer.

Current and future engagements include KÖNIGIN DER NACHT Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) at the Dutch National Opera Amsterdam, English National Opera, Opéra National de Montpellier, Bergen National Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Berlin, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Oper Köln, Royal Danish Opera, Theater Basel and Houston Grand Opera.

 

Career Highlights

Other important recent appearances have included Princess The Snow Queen (with Kent Nagano) Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Oscar Un Ballo in Maschera Royal Danish Opera, and Tania in Luigi Nono’s Al gran sole carico d’amore Theater Basel. She sang Pat Nixon Nixon in China Princeton Festival and Mystique, a circus/opera collaboration with Opus Opera, New Orleans, Madame Herz Der Schauspieldirektor New Hampshire Music Festival, Monica The Medium Painted Sky Opera, Blonde Entführung aus dem Serail and Belinda Dido and Aeneas Opera Piccola of San Antonio, La Fée Cendrillon Opera for the Young’s touring production, and Galatea Acis y Galatea Opera Nova Costa Rica. Rainelle covered Zerlina Don Giovanni for the The Dallas Opera, was a guest soloist with Voices of Change for their Holocaust memorial performance, and sang Vivaldi’s Gloria Texas Camerata, Ein Deutsches Reqiuem Norfolk, VA, La Traviata Irving Symphony Orchestra and Poulenc’s Gloria Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

Concert credits include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Carmina burana Plano Symphony.

Rainelle Krause trained with the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy in Germany, the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program in Los Angeles, Opera Las Vegas, the Taos Opera Institute and Opera Nova Costa Rica. She holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in her hometown of Bloomington, IN.

She currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and trains on aerial silks.
