Our 2021 Harewood Artists Match Campaign raises over £196,000

31st March 2021 in News

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Match Campaign has raised £196,650 to support our ENO Harewood Artists programme.

Thanks to our generous Matcher Funders: The Dow Family, Ann Orton, The Queen Anne’s Gate Foundation, Mr Jake Shafran & Mrs Hélène Marie Shafran and Mike Shipley & Philip Rudge there was a fund of £85,000 to match and double all donations made between 15 and 28 March.

The campaign received a record-breaking 359 donations and we are very grateful to everyone who gave. Your contribution to our flagship training programme will help us to nurture and develop the next generation of opera talent at ENO.

ENO Head of Casting, Michelle Williams said:

‘On behalf of our 12 ENO Harewood Artists, Lottie Gulliver, Casting and Harewood Manager, Jane Robinson, Head of Vocal Training & Development and the whole team at ENO, I would like to thank you for supporting our 2021 Harewood Artists Match Campaign. We really appreciate your support especially during these challenging times.

All funds raised will directly support our young singers’ talent development programme at ENO. As you know, we have 12 incredibly talented Harewood Artists who will continue to receive bespoke coaching and training while covering and performing mainstage roles with us. The last 12 months have been really tough, but we are looking forward to seeing their careers develop and flourish, and hope that you feel a sense of pride, knowing the part you play making it all possible.

You’ll get the chance to see and hear the impact of your contribution as our yet to be announced 2021/22 Season will boast the talents of our Harewood Artists.’
