Siân completed her BA (Hons) in Ancient History at the University of Reading before going on to study with John Evans at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on their Postgraduate Voice and Opera School programmes.
Following this, Siân was then accepted on to the Young Artists Programme at the National Opera Studio, London. Siân is an alumni of the Britten Pears Young Artist programme, the 2023 Verbier Festival’s Atelier Lyrique, and the 2024 Internationale Meistersinger Akademie.
Siân’s recent performing highlights include Dorabella in Opera North’s production of Così fan tutte at Neville Holt Festival; Hermia in Opera North’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice at the Biblioteca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt; and Baba the Turk in Verbier Festival’s Atelier Lyrique performance of The Rake’s Progress, conducted by James Gaffigan. Siân’s recent concert highlights include Mezzo Soprano soloist in the UK and European premiere of Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer’s Intonations with Chloë Hanslip (violin) and the London Chamber Ensemble at the Red Violin Festival; and Mezzo Soprano soloist in Elgar’s Sea Pictures with the Shrewsbury Symphony Orchestra.
Siân is currently performing as Guest Singer in the Royal Ballet and Opera’s production of Joby Talbot’s Like Water for Chocolate, choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon.
