Our Opera Unwrapped panel sees us joined by members of the cast, company, artistic and creative team.
Performed in the original French, Lyndsey Turner directs ENO’s first production of Gluck’s seminal Iphigénie en Tauride. Influencing Mozart, Berlioz, and Wagner with its dramatic contrasts and orchestral colour, and widely considered Gluck’s greatest work, the piece will be conducted by Baroque specialist David Bates, with Christine Rice (Sister Helen, Dead Man Walking) in the titular role of Iphigénie.
This event is an opportunity to hear from cast and creatives of this production, from the rehearsal process to their own creative backgrounds, opening with a live performance from one of the principal artists.
Exclusively for ENO Supporters, you can join our panellists in discussion over supper after the event in the Sky Bar. If you’d like to find out more about becoming an ENO Supporter please get in touch.
