Morgan Pearse

Baritone

Morgan Pearse was born in 1988 of Danish and Australian heritage, and studied at the Sydney Conservatorium and University, and at the Royal College of Music International Opera School.

Previously for ENO: Figaro The Barber of Seville, Pompeo Benvenuto Cellini.

Career Highlights

Awards and achievements: He was selected by Young Classical Artists Trust in 2013, and in 2014 won the Lies Askonas Prize at the RCM. In 2013 he won the Gold Medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Competition and in 2016 won first prize in the International Cesti Competition.

Notable engagements elsewhere: title role Owen Wingrave (Sydney Chamber Opera); Papageno, Yamadori Madam Butterfly, Anthony Sweeney Todd and covering Guglielmo (Houston Grand Opera Studio); Achilla Giulio Cesare (Houston Grand Opera); Figaro in Corigliano’s Ghosts of Versailles (Wolf Trap Opera, Virginia); Figaro Le nozze di Figaro (Badsisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe); Sid Albert Herring (Buxton Festival Opera).
