Anthony Roth Costanzo

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University where he has returned to teach, and received his masters from Manhattan School of Music.
Notable engagements elsewhere: Premiere of Bel Canto (Lyric Opera of Chicago); premiere of Heggie’s Great Scott (Dallas Opera, and also San Diego Opera); Unulfo Rodelinda, Ferdinand/Prospero The Enchanted Island, Orlofsky Die Fledermaus (Metropolitan Opera, New York); Rinaldo (Glyndebourne); concerts with Jordi Savall in Barcelona, Paris, and Versailles, and sang at the Teatro Real in Madrid; appearances with San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Glimmerglass Festival, Opera Company of Philadelphia, New York City Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Michigan Opera Theater, Palm Beach Opera and North Carolina Opera. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, on Broadway and in the Merchant Ivory film, A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries. Le Grand Macabre (Berlin Philharmonic/LSO/Rattle and Sellars); Akhnaten (LA Opera); US premiere of Sariaaho’s Only the Sound Remains (Ojai Festival/ Sellars); premiere of a monodrama at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with the International Contemporary Ensemble, and curating performances for the inaugural season of the National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY.
