Matthieu Maurice has been a sound engineer and sound designer since 2002, and for several years also studied video design. He has worked in several disciplines, notably opera, dance, cinema, video games and interactive audiovisual installations. He has collaborated with the late Patrice Chéreau, Angelin Preljocaj, Trisha Brown, Robert Lepage, Philippe Découfflé, Peter Sellars, Berliner Philarmoniker and LSO, Frank II louise and Josette Baïz. In 2012 he won his first award for original music with the film Edges, which was screened for the César Award for Best Short Film and was nominated several times. He teaches sound design at the University of Montpellier.
