British mezzo-soprano Bethan Langford is a graduate of the Guildhall School Opera Course and the National Opera Studio, and is a former Scottish Opera Emerging Artist. She is a Yeoman of the Musicians’ Company, a Samling Artist and a past recipient and current panel member for the Elizabeth Eagle-Bott Award from the RNIB.  

Career Highlights

Recent engagements include Mozart Requiem with the Hallé, Smyth Mass in D at the BBC Proms under Sakari Oramo, the title role in Errollyn Wallen’s world premier of The Paradis Files at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and national tour, Dritte Magt Elektra under Esa-Pekka Salonen at the Verbier Festival, Second Lady in Tom Allen’s The Magic Flute for Scottish Opera, Les Noces with New Movement Collective and Opera Holland Park at Woolwich Works and recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Heidelberger Frühling Festival and Oxford International Festival.  

Bethan is a core member of Paraorchestra under Charles Hazlewood, where recent performances include Mahler Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen at the Southbank Centre and Bristol Beacon and The Nature of Why at Theatre Royal Plymouth.
