Brad Wendes is a Fight and Action Director, high-fall specialist and physical performer working across opera, theatre, film and television.

A long-standing collaborator with English National Opera, he has worked on more than 40 ENO productions.

With a background in gymnastics, martial arts and acrobatics, Brad began his professional training at the Combat Stunt School in 2001, alongside studying martial arts and physical performance at the British Institute for Chinese Martial Arts. He later continued his performance and circus training with The Generating Company. He has held multiple Guinness World Records in gymnastics and acrobatics, including the record for the most flips through a hoop in 60 seconds.

Recent theatre and opera credits include Angel’s Bone (ENO/Aviva Studios), the Olivier Award-winning Dead Man Walking (ENO), HMS Pinafore (ENO), Mary, Queen of Scots (ENO), The Marriage of Figaro (ENO), The Handmaid’s Tale (ENO) and Into the Woods (Theatre Royal Bath).

Film and television credits include The BystandersOfficially AmazingMarrying Mum & Dad, and Milk & Honey. Brad has also created live performance work for Disney, Reebok, Renault, Sony, Canon, Samsung and Mazda.

Alongside his professional practice, Brad has taught physical performance at East 15 Acting School and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
