Born in Derbyshire, Harriet Eyley began her career an Alvarez Artist with Garsington Opera at Wormsley, before joining Welsh National Opera as an Associate Artist, her roles including Frasquita Carmen, Norina Don Pasquale, Barbarina Le nozze di Figaro and Oscar Un ballo in maschera. 

She has since returned to WNO to sing Krista The Makropulos Affair, Zerlina Don Giovanni and Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro. Elsewhere, she has sung Beth Little Women and Vixen Sharp-Ears The Cunning Little Vixen for Opera Holland Park, Meleagro La corona for Bampton Classical Opera, Oriana Amadigi for English Touring Opera and Eurydice Orpheus in the Underworld for If Opera, as well as returning to Garsington to sing Echo Ariadne auf Naxos. 

She appears regularly for Raymond Gubbay Live, and her concert career has further included Beethoven: The 1808 Concert with BBC NOW, Messiah on tour with Britten Sinfonia and New Year Gala concerts with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.  

Currently, she is an RCM Studentship Holder in receipt of a Siow-Furniss Scholarship for her doctoral thesis, The Anachronism of the Operatic Travesti in the 21st Century. Her Awards include a Leonard Ingrams Award from Garsington Opera and an ARAM from London’s Royal Academy of Music.
