Madeline Boreham is an ENO Harewood Artist and 2024 Kathleen Ferrier Awards 2nd Prize winner.
She recently made her house and role debut at English National Opera, performing seven shows as Mimì in La Bohème. A former Young Artist at Opera Holland Park, she sang the Mother in Hänsel und Gretel and will return to the company next season.
A graduate of the Royal College of Music, where she was the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation Scholar and was also supported by the Drake Calleja Trust, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, and The Josephine Baker Trust. Her operatic roles at the RCM included the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), and Valencienne (The Merry Widow).
In concert, she has performed repertoire ranging from Mozart and Rossini to Elgar and Vaughan Williams, appearing with the RCM Symphony Orchestra under Antonio Pappano and in recital with Simon Lepper in Leipzig. A 2024 Samling Artist, she is praised for her “powerful Straussian soprano” and is a 2025 semi-finalist in both the Paris Opera and Moniuszko Competitions.
