Marina Abramović (born Belgrade, Serbia, 30 Nov 1946) is a pioneering conceptual and performance artist whose work explores body and endurance art. Her work also investigates the relationship between performer and audience, notably by involving the participation of observers to uncover fresh notions of identity.
