Paule is a Royal Society Designer for Industry and has won a record six Olivier Awards, two Tony Awards and three Knight of Illuminations Awards.

She was awarded the Rayne award in 2018 for her contribution to the work of the National Theatre and in 2020 was given the special award by the London Critics Circle for her contribution to the UK Theatre Industry.

In 2025 Paule was awarded the Whats on Stage Services to UK Theatre Award and the Richard Pilbrow Lifetime Recognition Award.
