takis is a leading international designer whose visionary work spans theatre, opera, ballet, circus, and fashion. Born in Greece and based in London, his career has been recognised with over twenty major award nominations, including the Laurence Olivier Awards and International Opera Awards.
Career Highlights
His portfolio includes landmark West End productions as well as work at the National Theatre, Old Vic, and Shakespeare’s Globe, non-replica musicals across Scandinavia (Moulin Rouge, Wicked), opera at major international houses, and the world’s first 3D projection ballet (The Little Mermaid, Finnish National Ballet). He has also designed long-running residence circus shows in Las Vegas (The Venetian) and Atlantic City (Caesars Palace), with his work celebrated at the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London and Helsinki.
Beyond the stage, takis has art-directed high-profile events including the Toyota C-HR launch starring Milla Jovovich and Centrepoint’s 50th Anniversary Gala with Rita Ora and Duran Duran.
He holds a PhD from Aalto University, Helsinki—awarded and published—where he pioneered the META-SUIT, an interchangeable costume exploring new expressions of masculinity in everyday life.
