“It was the single most important thing that ever happened to me career-wise”.Soprano Mary Bevan, Former ENO Harewood Artist 2012-16, talking about the programme.
Nurturing talent singers
Here at ENO we are committed to nurturing talent as we know forging a career in opera takes dedication, hard work and huge amounts of support – financial and otherwise.
Each Harewood Artist undertakes a bespoke programme of vocal and language training, is coached by experts in their repertoire and is fully supported through auditions for career-building performance opportunities with ENO, around the UK and abroad.

The Harewood Artist Legacy
We are very proud of the legacy that our Harewood Artists programme has already created, training 80 singers, including Allan Clayton, Elizabeth Llewellyn, Leigh Melrose, Nicky Spence and Sarah Tynan.
We are extremely grateful for any support you can give to our aspiring singers as a gift to the ENO Harewood Artists is a gift to their future.
How you can help
We are committed to delivering our world-class training programme – and have been doing so for over 26 years – to futureproof our industry which we all love so much.
However, we cannot do so without your help.
The programme costs over £225,000 and is funded through individual donations. We are very thankful for any donation that you can give to support the 9 incredibly talented singers in our 2025/26 intake.
Remember, a gift to the ENO Harewood Artists is a gift to their future.
