English National Opera (ENO) has appointed Nicola Cardillo-Zallo as Chief People Officer.

She will join in January 2026 and work across both ENO and it’s trading subsidiary, London Coliseum Limited (LCL).

Nicola will lead ENO’s people and culture strategy, advancing key areas including EDI, safeguarding and leadership development as the organisation develops its dual-base model across London and Greater Manchester. With over 20 years’ experience, she is an accomplished leader who has driven people-centred transformation and built inclusive, high-performing cultures throughout her career.

Most recently, Nicola has worked as a People & Culture Consultant across the arts, education and charity sectors. Previous roles include Director of People & Culture at Southbank Centre, HR Director at The Old Vic and Director of Talent at WildBrain.
