Andrew Tinkler

Andrew Tinkler was a chorister at Westminster Abbey and later studied at the RCM. He joined the Chorus of ENO in 1991.
Previously for ENO: Official La bohème, Cross Crosshaulson Paul Bunyan, Shepherd Pelléas, Official Barber of Seville, Border Guard The Handmaid’s Tale, Chief Soothsayer La Vestale, Second Mate Billy Budd, Henchman Rigoletto, Schabernack Grand Macabre, Simon Magus Pilgrim’s Progress and Customs Official La bohème. For ENO Baylis he has sung Sarastro and Colline.

Notable engagements elsewhere: Collatinus Rape of Lucretia, Pistol, Commendatore, Abbot Curlew River, Gremin Onegin, Ferrando Il trovatore, Don Magnifico La Cenerentola, Masetto, Sarastro and Don Basilio Barber of Seville, and Superintendent Budd for Opéra de Bauge, France.
Recent oratorio appearances include: Christus St John Passion, Messiah, Judas Maccabaeus, The Creation, The Dream of Gerontius, the Fauré and Verdi Requiems, Rossini’s Stabat Mater and L’enfance du Christ. He recently sang at the Globe Theatre in The Tempest and Don Basilio for St Albans Chamber Opera.
