Soraya Mafi is one of the ENO Harewood Artists. She was born in Lancashire and graduated from the Royal College of Music.

Career Highlights

Roles elsewhere include: Johanna Sweeney Todd (WNO); Cleopatra Giulio Cesare (ETO), Constance Dialogues des Carmélites, First Niece Peter Grimes (Grange Park); title role Arianna in Creta (London Handel Festival); Aminta Il re pastore (Châtelet, Paris); Despina (West Green House Opera); Suor Geneveva Suor Angelica (Opera North).

Awards: Won the Susan Chilcott Award 2016, Won the Maggie Teyte Prize in 2014 and took Second Prize in the 2015 Kathleen Ferrier Awards.

Forthcoming: Nanetta Falstaff (Garsington Opera); a return to Grange Park Opera, and debuts with the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg and the Seattle Opera.
