Discover Opera Days

Discover Opera Days offer an opportunity for pupils in Years 3 - 6 to experience an exciting introduction to opera-making at the English National Opera.

We invite schools to come and experience an interactive tour of the London Coliseum Theatre, hear an opera singer perform up close, have an opportunity to handle props and try on costumes from past productions as well as taking part in a workshop based around singing, music, storytelling and drama.

We welcome a maximum of 32 pupils per class and where possible try to accommodate year groups with more than 1 class.

We require at least 1 teacher/chaperone per 10 pupils.

10:15	Group arrives at the London Coliseum
10:30	Welcome/Introduction
10:45	Visit auditorium
11:30	Props & costumes
12:15	Lunch
12:45 – 14:00	Workshop
14:00 – 14:15	Final Goodbyes/ Group leaves

SEND schools

Our Discover Opera Days can be adapted for SEND schools to best suit the needs of the group. This may include a shorter day, fewer transitions or a more tailored workshop.

We will arrange a meeting with schools beforehand to discuss this.

How to apply:
Discover Opera Days are available through our Schools Membership Scheme and will be available to apply for in our School’s Newsletter which is sent at the end of the Summer Term.
