Winner of an Exceptional Prize at Tenor Viñas 2025, Dan D’Souza made his debut at ENO as Belcore The Elixir of Love and is now a Harewood Artist, supported by the inaugural Nicholas Folwell Scholarship.

Previous engagements have included Valdeburgo La straniera for Chelsea Opera Group, Cirillo Fedora and Ibn-Hakia Iolanta for If Opera, Trinculo La Tempesta for Wexford Festival Opera, Apollo e Dafne with La Nuova Musica, Father Hansel and Gretel for Lyric Opera Ireland, Silvio Pagliacci for Iford Arts, Buff The Impresario and Horatio Hamlet for Buxton International Festival, Schaunard La bohème for Mid Wales Opera, Angelotti Tosca for The Grange Festival and Flemish Deputy Don Carlo for London’s Royal Ballet &Opera.

He appears regularly in concert, engagements including Christus St John Passion and Mozart Requiem for Huddersfield Choral Society, Christus St Matthew Passion with RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Messiah for Nevill Holt Opera and High Priest in Handel’s Semele with English Baroque Soloists.

Current engagements include Thoas Iphigénie en Tauride for Blackheath Halls Opera, Schaunard La bohème for The Grange Festival and Gianni Schicchi for OperaUpClose.

Dan D’Souza was educated at Tiffin Boys School, the University of Cambridge, the Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Opera.
