Icelandic bass Andri Björn Róbertsson is a former ENO Harewood Artist.

He made his ENO debut as Angelotti (Tosca) and went on to sing roles including Lord Krishna (Satyagraha), Theseus (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Ceprano (Rigoletto). 

Recent highlights include: Leporello (Don Giovanni) at Kilden Opera, Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Speaker (covering Sarastro) in The Magic Flute for Opera North, as well as Nebulous/Activist/Wolf in Sir David Pountney’s Masque of Might.

He made his Glyndebourne debut as First Priest and Second Man in Armour in Die Zauberflöte and his Royal Opera House debut in Sir George Benjamin’s Lessons in Love and Violence as Witness 3/Madman, a role he has also sung at Staatsoper Hamburg and Opéra National de Lyon. 

Further credits include: the title role in Le nozze di Figaro for Icelandic Opera, Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) for Nevill Holt Opera, and Superintendent Budd (Albert Herring) for The Grange Festival. 

Andri trained at the Reykjavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts, the Royal Academy of Music, and the National Opera Studio in London, with support from the Georg Solti Accademia and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa’s Foundation.
