Gilbert & Sullivan were a Victorian dynamic duo.

The famous English opera duo Gilbert & Sullivan collaborated on 14 operas between 1871 and 1896.

These included HMS Pinafore, The Mikado, Iolanthe, and The Pirates of Penzance.

They were brought together by the producer Richard D’Oyly Carte. He even built the Savoy Theatre in London to perform their work.
